Not yet, but I need to start by purchasing compression stockings because I’m constantly on my feet.
If you could share one piece of advice about leg health, what would it be?
That wearing compression stockings can really help and make a difference, especially while traveling.

Do you have a favorite client success story?
My favorite clients are the ones who have drastic changes in their leg appearance. I see them at their first consultation with these big bulgy, painful veins and then when they come in for their follow up they have completely new legs. I’m always amazed at the transformation.

I love helping people, talking to them, and making them smile.
What does “Change your legs, Change your life” mean to you?
If you improve the condition of your legs, you will enjoy life more because you are no longer held back by embarrassment or daily discomfort.

Do you take care of your leg health differently now since working at SJVC?
Yes, I’ve been keeping my weight down, exercising more and I try not to sit or stand for long periods of time.
If you could share one piece of advice about leg health, what would it be?
Exercise! Also, if your legs bother you (feel heavy, painful, etc.) don’t wait to seek medical advice.
Do you have a favorite client success story?
We had a patient come in who was convinced he needed knee surgery because he had daily knee pain. Turns out his knee pain was caused by his varicose veins. He was so overjoyed after his procedure because not only was the pain gone but there was no down time so he was able to go back to work the next day.
What made you decide to get into the medical field?
To help people.
What does “Change your legs, Change your life” mean to you?
Many people become embarrassed by their varicose veins and hide their legs in pants year round which then affects their quality of life. Once you seek treatment you become more confident with how your legs look and since your legs feel great as well; it helps you become more active.

Do you take care of your leg health differently now since working at SJVC?
Yes, I try not to cross my legs when I sit down and avoid high heels as much as possible.
If you could share one piece of advice about leg health, what would it be?
At the first sign of leg discomfort, cramps or just the feeling of heaviness; go to a vein specialist who will look at your superficial vein system and not just the deep vein system.
Do you have a favorite client success story?
Every client who has come to St Johns Vein Center is a success story to me because they were able to be educated on what has been concerning them for years. Some have left not needing anything, many have been treated and are very pleased with their results, but all have left informed about leg health and hopefully they will spread the knowledge.
What made you decide to get into the medical field?
I have always enjoyed helping people in whatever capacity I can. St Johns Vein Center has given me an opportunity to help patients navigate with their insurance company in order to receive the necessary treatment recommended for them.
What does “Change your legs, Change your life” mean to you?
If you can change the way your legs feel and look, you have the potential to change the way you view your life. The better you feel, the more you are able to see your life from a different perspective which can change your physical, mental and social outlook on life.
